Awareverse Apps Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 June 2026

This privacy policy explains how Awareverse apps handle information. It covers AwareCards and any other Awareverse app that links to this policy.

Awareverse builds practical support tools for families, children, young people, neurodivergent users, carers, learners and communities. Our approach is to collect as little information as possible and to keep app data on the user device wherever we can.

Current apps covered by this policy

This policy currently covers:

Future Awareverse apps may also use this policy. If a future app collects, shares or uses information differently, this policy will be updated and the app listing or app screen will explain the difference.

Summary

Awareverse apps should not collect more information than they need.

AwareCards does not collect personal data from the app.

AwareCards does not send custom cards, settings, practice logs or communication phrases to Awareverse.

AwareCards does not use advertising networks or analytics tracking.

Information added inside AwareCards is stored locally on the user device.

What AwareCards stores on the device

AwareCards may store app settings, custom cards and practice log entries on the device so the app can remember them next time it is opened.

This information stays on the device unless the user chooses to share it outside the app, for example by showing the screen, copying text, taking a screenshot, or sending information to another person.

What AwareCards does not collect

AwareCards does not collect names, email addresses, account details, location data, photos, contacts, microphone recordings, health records, advertising identifiers, or payment details.

AwareCards does not require registration and does not create an Awareverse account.

Speech output

AwareCards uses the device text to speech system to speak selected words and phrases aloud.

Speech output is handled on the device by Android text to speech. Awareverse does not receive the spoken phrase.

Children and families

AwareCards may be used by children, young people and families. The app is designed to avoid adverts, accounts, tracking and unnecessary data collection.

Parents, carers, schools and professionals should supervise use where appropriate and should choose words and cards that are suitable for the child or young person.

Advertising and subscriptions

AwareCards does not include adverts.

AwareCards does not require a subscription.

AwareCards does not require payment to use the basic communication features.

Third parties

AwareCards does not share app data with advertisers, analytics providers, or social media platforms.

If a user taps a link to the Awareverse website, they leave the app and the website privacy practices may apply.

Deleting information

Users can delete custom cards or practice log entries inside the app where those features are available.

Users can also remove local app data by uninstalling the app or clearing the app storage through Android settings.

Safeguarding and emergencies

AwareCards includes emergency and safety communication cards. The app is a communication support tool and does not contact emergency services automatically.

If someone is in immediate danger, users should contact emergency services or a trusted adult straight away.

Future Awareverse apps

This policy may be used for future Awareverse apps. If a future app uses accounts, cloud backup, analytics, payments, adverts, location, camera, microphone, or any other personal or sensitive information, this policy will be updated before or at the time that feature is released.

Future apps will also provide any extra notices required inside the app or on the app store listing.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if Awareverse apps change how they work. The date at the top of this page will show when it was last updated.
