Privacy
How this archive handles privacy, data and basic site records.
Simple privacy position
In Plain Sight is an information archive. It does not run advertising, does not sell personal data, does not use tracking pixels, and does not ask readers to create an account.
What may be collected
Like most websites, the server may keep standard technical logs. These can include the page requested, the time of the request, the browser type, the referring page, and an IP address. These logs are used for basic security, error checking and abuse prevention.
Cookies and theme setting
The archive uses local browser storage to remember whether the reader selected light mode or dark mode. This stays on the reader's own device. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
External links
The archive links to public records held by official bodies, regulators, courts, charities, media organisations or other publishers. Once a reader leaves this site, the privacy policy of the external site applies.
Contact
Questions about privacy should be sent through the main Awareverse contact route. Do not send urgent safeguarding reports through this archive. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
