How societies repeatedly tried to solve difference by moving people away.
Moving someone out of sight is not the same as helping them.
The Ship of Fools image captures a repeated social response: remove the person who does not fit. Send them away, place them elsewhere, make them someone else's problem.
This logic appears in asylums, workhouses, institutions, exclusion rooms and off site directions. It can look administrative, but it is often abandonment in structured form.
Awareverse challenges exclusion as a default. The first question should be what support is missing, not where can we move this person.
When looking at exclusion as solution, ask: who had power, who was being labelled, and what would have changed if the human being had been seen first?
