Real affirmations — not toxic positivity

These are not "just think positive" statements. They are honest, grounded things you can say to yourself when things are hard. Some days you will not believe them. Say them anyway.

💜 For parents and carers
I am doing the best I can with what I have right now.
My child is not broken. They are different. That is not the same thing.
Getting it wrong sometimes does not make me a bad parent.
I am allowed to be tired. Being tired does not mean I have given up.
Fighting for my child is not dramatic. It is necessary.
I do not have to have all the answers. I just have to keep showing up.
My feelings about this are valid — including the ones I am ashamed of.
Rest is not giving up. It is how I keep going.
I know my child better than any professional in any meeting.
Small victories count. Today I managed something. That matters.
I am not alone in this, even when it feels that way.

⚡ For neurodivergent people
My brain works differently. That is not a flaw — it is a fact.
I do not have to mask to deserve kindness.
Struggling does not mean failing.
I am allowed to need more time, more space, more quiet.
My feelings are real, even when no one else seems to notice them.
I have made it through every hard day so far.
I do not have to be productive to have worth.
Asking for help is not weakness — it is self-knowledge.
I am allowed to say no to things that hurt me.
My way of doing things is valid, even if it looks different.
I do not owe anyone a performance of being fine.
