In Northern Ireland, home education is governed by Article 45 of the Education and Libraries (Northern Ireland) Order 1986. You are not required to follow the national curriculum or set school hours. These logs are for your records, not inspection.

📞 If the Education Authority contacts you

The Education Authority may contact you to check that education is taking place. You are not required to allow home visits or inspections, but you must be able to demonstrate that suitable education is happening.

Keep these logs, photos, and examples of work. If you receive a School Attendance Order, seek advice immediately from your local home education group or a solicitor.
